A 3.5 mile circular walk from the city wall in the east. Focusing, as ever, on the macabre, the walk will take in the locations of botched executions, the final resting place of thousands of plague victims and the site at which evidence from a murder scene may have finally revealed the identity of Jack the Ripper. If that’s not enough, there are literary connections a-plenty, as well as the stone at the symbolic heart of the city.
Meet: Tower Hill Underground Station (Circle/District Line) 6.50pm for a 7pm start.
